Garden Theatre

This fall Garden Theatre Education invites students in grades 6-12 to audition for our Fall Youth Musical The Addams Family School Edition. Please do not register and pay for this production until you have been cast. In order to participate in this production you should be fully available for all rehearsals and performances.

Auditions:

Sign up for an audition at gardentheatre.org/education using the form linked in the audition information. 

Auditions will be Wednesday, August 23rd from 4:00-8:00pm: audition slots are in one hour increments. 

Audition Requirements: 

-16 bar cut of a musical theatre song of your choice (roughly 30-45 seconds)

-30 second monologue

-Please do not use Addams Family material for this audition.

-There will not be an accompanist present, so please bring the accompaniment track with you. We will have a speaker with an aux cord, various adapters, and Bluetooth available to play your track. 

-Headshot and resume are not required, but are highly encouraged. 

Audition Reminders:

We are casting for all named and ensemble roles at this audition. Cast size for this show is flexible and based on the director's discretion. 

Keep in mind that audition slots  may fill up and become unavailable as sign ups occur. We will email you to confirm your audition slot prior to your audition. 

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled slot. You will be called by the audition facilitator at some point during your hour slot, so please stay until you are called. Once your audition is finished, you are free to leave.  

The cast list will be shared to all auditionees by Friday, August 25th at 5:00pm.

Call Backs:

Call backs will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, August 24th. You will be contacted via email by 9:30pm on Wednesday, August 23rd if you are needed at call backs. Only those contacted via email should attend callbacks. 

Casting:

Casting will be announced Friday, August 25th at 5:00pm via email.

Rehearsal Schedule

First rehearsal will be Saturday, August 26th, and will follow this schedule:

Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00pm: 8/30, 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25

Saturdays from 8:30am-12:00pm: 8/26, 9/2,9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28

TECH REHEARSALS:

Monday 10/30 5:30-9:00pm

Tuesday 10/31 5:30-9:00pm

Wednesday 11/1 5:00-9:00pm

SHOW DATES: 

Thursday 11/2 at 7:30pm

Friday 11/3 at 7:30pm

Saturday 11/4 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm
