Youth Production: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

This spring Garden Theatre Education invites students in grades 6-12 to audition for our production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! Please do not register and pay for this production until you have been cast. In order to participate in this production you should be fully available for all rehearsals and performances.
ABOUT THE SHOW: An eclectic group of teenagers vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, they spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Of the participants, one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.
Content: This show includes some mature content, including irreverent humor, some adult language, and talk of puberty. The show, if rated like a movie, would likely be PG-13. We encourage you to research the show before allowing your child to audition if you have any concerns. Feel free to email education@gardentheatre.org with any specific questions.
Audition information, including the link to sign up for auditions, are posted at gardentheatre.org/education.
