Make 'Em Laugh Improv!
Do you love to tell jokes or make up stories? Then this is the camp for you! Learn how to think on your feet, work with your ensemble, and create hilarious scenes in this improvisation camp. This camp will culminate in a sharing for family and friends.
Camp Dates: July 29-August 2, 2024
Camp Times: Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-2:30PM
Age Range: Rising Grades 3-6
Before Care is available from 7:30-8:45 AM for $25 per student per week, and cannot be prorated.
After Care is available from 2:30-5:00 PM for $50 a week, and cannot be prorated.
Soliloquies and Sonnets: Shakespearean Acting
The Bard of Avon, Shakespeare, is known as the greatest writer of all time. Learn to break down complicated Shakespearean texts confidently and master the art of acting in a 5 act play! This camp will culminate in a sharing for family and friends.

Broadway Workshop: SIX the Musical
We're one of a kind, no category! This week at the Garden learn selections of songs, scenes, and choreography from Broadway's SIX the Musical in this Broadway Workshop! This camp will culminate in a sharing for family and friends.

Calling all Ozians! Learn selections of songs, scenes, and choreography from the Broadway musical Wicked in this Broadway Workshop! This camp will culminate in a sharing for family and friends.

Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS: Bow Wows!
Join Pongo, Perdita, and the puppies for some howling fun! In this camp, students will learn songs, scenes, and choreography from the hit musical Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS. This camp will culminate in a sharing for family and friends.

Production: Disney's The Little Mermaid
Ages: 11 - 18
Garden Theatre Education is bubbling with excitement for our fall youth production of Disney's The Little Mermaid!
This registration will only become active once you are cast in the production.
Age Group: This production experience is for students in Grades 3-12. This registration is for students in Grades 6-12. If you are in our Youth Ensemble (Grades 3-5) please proceed to register here.
Auditions: Auditions are by appointment on August 21-22. You may sign up to audition beginning August 1 at gardentheatre.org/education. Callbacks are by invitation on August 23-24.
Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from August 27-October 12, with tech rehearsals on select dates from October 14-23. A formal rehearsal schedule will be provided to all who audition.

About the show:
Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World."
Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea.

Students in Grades 3-5 are invited to audition for our Youth Ensemble, who will be in select musical numbers of this full length musical. Students will be cast in one or multiple ensemble roles and will be called to select rehearsals only. Students will be called to all technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.

Homeschool Troupe: Blooming Thespians (Grades 6-12)
Ages: 11 - 18
This fall students in grades 6-12 are invited to join our Blooming Thespians Homeschool Troupe for a production experience! In this weekly class students will audition, be cast, rehearse, and perform the musical (title coming soon!!) This production experience is open to all skill levels. Students will perform in a one night showcase performance. Please note that this performance will have minimal costumes, scenery, and lighting, and is not a fully produced Garden Theatre production.
The class takes place on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-12:00 in our education space. On the final day of class we will meet in the theatre for a technical rehearsal. Our final showcase performance will be a ticketed event on the evening of December 10, 2024! More details will be shared when the class begins.
